PASSUR Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for its Orlando, FL office.
Job Description: Develop and execute test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization. Document results and other observations or improvements after analysis of test processes and reporting for QA processes. Review and validate requirements and technical specifications. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, solution development, and proposed solutions. Identify, communicate, and escalate issues as required. Determine and design system specifications, establish quality standards, and adhere to software development lifecycle principles. Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing). Conduct analysis of airline and airport efficiencies and production of reports and tools, allowing said operators to evaluate data. Coordinate testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines. Represent PASSUR values to other associates and clients. Mentor and provide training assistance to Associate QA Engineers. Communicate professionally at all levels within and outside the organization. Position allows for telecommuting from home from anywhere within the U.S. Occasional travel to Orlando HQ office required (3452 Lake Lynda Drive, Suite 190, Orlando, FL 32817).
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training. Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a software applications or development-related position. The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: software testing methodologies and testing of the software development lifecycle; quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments (JIRA and MANTIS bug tracking system); Agile software development methodologies; proficiency in one or more programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java); automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills using TestRail; familiarity with the aerospace industry and aviation knowledge; Eclipse, Java Runtime environment; web-based application testing; back-end testing using SQL, Postgres, and UNIX based tools; integration testing between applications; working in CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery processes); GitLab and Git tools; and TFM data and FAA SWIM Feed data.
